Davis is SIX!

Here are the belated pictures from Davis's birthday celebration!  A party to follow soon, but we've been sick around here!  Jackson and I had what we think was the flu right at the start of January.  Davis had it last week, and sweet Drew woke up today with a 103 fever.  Sure enough, he tested positive for the flu!  Oh well, rest and fluids for now and lots of mommy snuggles!

Ok, so it's sadly been about seven months since my last post, no excuses, just a crazy busy life.  One thing I now realize, is that whether there are readers of my blog here or not, it is a great reminder of our life as it is on a daily basis.  It is fun to document things that happen in this little family, and to be able to remember and cherish these fleeting moments.  I used to scrapbook {sad to say it, "used to"}, but now it is hard to find the time to sleep, clean, do laundry, and all the day to day stuff that comes with running a household with four boys in it.  Blogging can be a much quicker way to jot down some of these memories!  So it's not a New Year's Resolution per se, but I will try to start documenting our life.  Nothing special, just our all to ordinary crazy busy life, which brings me to this...Davis' is SIX years old today!  It's been such a fun weekend of celebrating with him.  He is truly enjoying the attention and special excitement about his special day.  We had cupcakes, sang probably ten times, opened gifts { his favorite being a remote controlled Star Wars light saber night light } and spent the day today at the Great Wolf Lodge {a really cool indoor water park/hotel nearby}.  Pictures will follow soon...too tired after climbing all of those stairs to the tops of the water slides today!
