Baseball has started for the season, and this year, we have 2 playing ball. This sounds like loads of fun for the kids, and it is, but for me, it's the first taste of what's to come. Being the mom to 3 boys, there is sure to be years and years filled with ball practice and games! For now, we just (I can't believe that I just said JUST...it's a lot of time at the ball field for us!) have practice 2 nights a week, one per child, and back to back games on Saturday mornings. This weekend, the kids had pictures, which meant things weren't quite on schedule, and Davis's game started late, and what was supposed to be a small overlap turned into almost a full game overlap. Nice in that we didn't have to stay at the park quite so long, but also a lesson in split parenting. Ash is the assistant coach for Davis's team, so he stayed with Davis while I went to watch Jack. At least the rain held off and we could really enjoy the day!
